Easter Craft and Garden Fair at Somerley
Saturday 26 March, Sunday 27 March, Easter Monday Bank Holiday 28 March 2016
Somerley House is a beautiful Georgian stately home near Ringwood. Designed in the Palladian style by Samuel Wyatt in 1750, it was purchased by the Second Earl of Normanton in 1825 and has been in the Normanton family ever since. It is currently the home of Viscount Somerton.
Our show is set in elegant parkland beside the House. Our marquees and many outside stalls form a delightful “village” on the sweeping lawns, and there is always a festive atmosphere here for our first show of the season.
Easter is a time for some fresh air and venturing back out into the countryside for young and old alike, and where better than this lovely spot, which is normally closed to the public? It’s easy to reach as well, just a short distance from the A31, yet surrounded by quiet countryside.
There is a huge range of crafts on show, with many exhibitors giving fascinating demonstrations of their skills. Here’s your chance to buy direct from the makers!
With springtime well under way, it’s time to think about the garden – and with an amazing range of plants and shrubs on offer at really competitive prices, this is the perfect opportunity to stock up without breaking the bank. Garden furniture of all kinds, fashioned in limited quantities from sustainable timber, might tempt you too!
Food and refreshments are available throughout the day, and there is free entertainment for younger children. Come and make a day of it!
